VeriSign developed a monitoring service, with which authorities and enterprises can protect themselves against Distributed Denial OF service attacks (DDoS). The service is part of VeriSigns cloudbasiertem Internet Defense network and is independently samples in network traffic to recognize, which point to a forthcoming attack.
