Oracle registers again recession in sales

In the first financial quarters of the financial year 2010 (until 31 August) Oracle had to accept a recession in sales again due to sinking software proceeds and negative currency effects. The GAAP conversion shrank as in the previous quarter in relation to the comparison period of the Vojahres by 5 per cent and is now about 5.1 billion dollar. But the GAAP net profit rose by 4 per cent to 1.1 billion dollar or 0.22 dollar for each share. That comes out from yesterday after close of the exchange published numbers (pdf) of the software company.
